About Us
CAS Contained Air Solutions – engineered to be simple, safe, quiet and efficient.
“Contained Air Solutions was founded in 2007 with the simple aim of providing a comprehensive range of clean air equipment; simple and safe to use, energy efficient and quiet in operation. The company has since grown rapidly to become the UK’s market leader in Class I, II & III Microbiological Safety Cabinets, as well as a recognised industry leader in the containment of robotics, automated processes and other complex clean air requirements.
“We tailor our products to meet customers’ exact clean air needs, with a flexible design philosophy backed by a very experienced team of clean air engineers, guiding customers every step of the way from initial enquiry to final product handover.”
Chris Popple: Managing Director, CAS
We can accommodate containment solutions to support single instruments right through to complex instrument processes for High Throughput Screening (HTS) systems that can prepare, incubate and analyse many plates simultaneously for faster data-collection.
Furthermore, we have the flexibility to work with any instrument supplier. This means we can design for a wide range of laboratory clients and requirements.
In recent years, technological advances have resulted in a huge move towards automation. This speeds up drug development, screening processes and research and development, and enables experimentation that otherwise would be impossible.
Laboratory automation has experienced exponential growth. The development of new generations of automated standalone and bench-top equipment has made lab automation an increasingly viable option for labs of all sizes – and, in many cases, a necessary option for labs seeking to remain competitive in today’s marketplace.
We were one of the first into the market, working closely with equipment suppliers to take the guesswork out of automation and design and deliver containment solutions built around specific instruments.
Our business is home to a wealth of expertise. We have outstanding products, managers, engineers and after-sales support.
We take our responsibility to deliver safe working conditions very seriously. Early on, the decision was made for all our sales team to be ex-engineers. This means they can give the right advice for people working in potentially hazardous environments.
We design, install, test and commission your laboratory equipment, providing one point of contact for seamless project management.
We work closely with the main contractor and client to ensure the facility complies with EN, Health and Social Care (HSC) and Approved Codes of Practice (ACOP) requirements, as well as any other relevant standards.
Aftercare and Customer Service
We give simple, straightforward quotes and advice, and a quality product. However, our service doesn’t end there and our aftercare and spares provision ensure that you will benefit from our expert support for as long as you need it.
We provide initial operator training upon delivery, along with a fully comprehensive manual and the provision of telephone technical support whenever required. As an additional service, we can also offer continuous or repeat training on site, ensuring your staff are always fully aware of how to use our Class 1,2 and 3 microbiological safety cabinets, laminar flow cabinets, pharmaceutical isolators, robotic enclosures, downdraft tables, VLF modules and powder control booths.
